Anji's techniques will give you the confidence that you CAN draw and design your own quilts from beginning ideas to a finished design. She'll cover the basic drawing skills, perspective, line and shape. You'll do a gray scale, value study, color study and an outline pattern. We'll discuss enlarging your design to the final size and selecting fabric using the value and color studies. Learn different appliqué techniques, fusing, finishing raw edges and using specialty stitches for shading and quilting. NEW! Kaffe Fassett Garden Party -- Introduction to Computer Design one session / all levels / $45 Afraid of using a computer to quilt? Put the computer in it's place in this fun paper piecing workshop. We'll briefly discuss use of computers in quilting, different programs, their strengths and weakness as compared to traditional design, then pick fabrics for this boldly colored design. We'll discuss how to use various computer printouts and enlarging patterns using 8.5 x 11" paper. Then we'll focus on paper piecing the different quilt blocks. Please bring a sack lunch!
