I do take commissions for pet portraiture and human portraiture. Fees for making portrait quilt are based on the dimensions of the quilt, materials involved and the complexity of the design. It starts at $50 a square foot for one subject machine pieced and quilted in 100% cotton fabrics to around $400 a square foot for multiple subjects, rare fabrics and hand pieced and quilted. These prices vary as to what is involved and there will be plenty of consultation on the design and photos used. I require 1/3 up front, 1/3 after final sketchs, value and color studies, and the discussion of fabrics used are approved and the final 1/3 when I am finished. The time frame is first come, first served. I will be upfront about the time involved and if there is a wait time. I do not want to disappoint any clients and will try my best to work out any problems profesionally. I believe there has to be lots of commmunication during the process because only you know what your pets or humans personality is. It may be a certain way your dog turns her head that makes her remind you of her and I can't get that little trait unless we talk. I do work off of photos but without personality it is just another dog that looks like your dog. I have identical twins, their faces are identical but it is their personalities that show me and others which is Mia, the tomboy and which is Mira, the princess. Get the idea? Deadlines must be agreed upon and reasonable. Hand work goes extremely slow. All quilts are of heirloom, museum quality. Prices include all materials and shipping. | "Regal Gabby"  | |
